“I love Los Angeles. I know a lot of people go there and they see just a huge sprawl of sameness. But when you’re there for a while, you realize that each section has its own mood. The golden age of cinema is still alive there, in the smell of jasmine at night and the beautiful weather. And the light is inspiring and energizing. Even with smog, there’s something about that light that’s not harsh, but bright and smooth. It fills me with the feeling that all possibilities are available. I don’t know why. It’s different from the light in other places. The light in Philadelphia, even in the summer, is not nearly as bright. It was the light that brought everybody to L.A. to make films in the early days. It’s still a beautiful place.”—
Love yourself. How can you expect anyone to love you if you don’t? You are beautiful in your imperfection. Your mistakes and shortcomings are part of what makes you special and wonderful. But you can’t love yourself until you fall back in love with God. You’ve had that nagging feeling…
Not ignoring. Umm why does something always make me cry before lunchtime??
Anyway… This. A million times yes. My sister is way, way smarter than me.
“The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”—
stoked for a new year. I’ll be in Nashville, which sucks a little because I won’t be here to celebrate with my friends, but I’ll be in a hotel with all of my extended family in one of the coolest cities in the U.S. so the trade off probably won’t make me cry. I’ll most likely end up kissing a stranger at midnight or some shit. Ah. I have almost no idea at all what the next year will bring, but I have a really good feeling about it. I’m going to try to be more spontaneous next year, and kinder. Pray more for other people and just for the sake of talking to god,not just ” Oh please God don’t let there be traffic this morning” or “Ohhh Jesus don’t let that be broken” etc. I hope everyone has a bitchin’ new years eve and starts the year off with happiness and good vibes
